Craig is an experienced international affairs, strategic communication and strategy expert, with over ten years' experience working in UK Government, Parliament, and politics. Having been a British diplomat for more than eight years, Craig is adept at communication (including public speaking and media) and coordinating with others, network-building, negotiation and influencing. He brings deep geopolitical, economic, and strategic insight, as well as creative thinking to old problems, innovating and striving for growth and improvement - personally and within teams he leads.
With a track record of leading and motivating teams with emotional intelligence, including through periods of change, Craig solves complex problems in challenging and fast-changing environments. He rapidly rose up the ranks within the Foreign Office to be promoted 4 times in 8 years. He was selected for the Foreign Office's Global Leadership Development Programme in 2016. Craig stood as a Parliamentary Candidate for the Conservative Party in the 2019 General Election.
Craig has 13 years’ experience working on/in China and Hong Kong - including in a number of roles within the Foreign Office. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Geographical Society in 2018.
Outside of the working environment, Craig is strongly involved in the local community, volunteering as:
• Member of Thames Valley Police’s Strategic Independent Advisory Group;
• Board Director and Head Youth Coach at Bicester Rugby Union Football Club; and
• Mentor to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK through Future Frontiers – an award-winning British charity that transforms young people’s relationship with learning, and raises aspirations.
